Author Susan Palmer
Susan Palmer is the guitar instructor at Seattle University and the
author of "The Guitar Lesson Companion." She has led jazz, blues and
rock groups throughout her career, and has spent the past 10 years
teaching adults and kids how to play the guitar. Many of her
students are now actively performing in the Northwest.
In 2006, Susan published her unique guitar instruction method in
"The Guitar Lesson Companion" and in accompanying online lesson
videos. Her book has been adopted by teachers and students in over
10 countries, including by a professor at Berklee School of Music.
Susan studied with Dan Balmer, Paul Chasman, John Stowell, Dan Heck
and Brian Nova. She studied music at Gonzaga University, and
graduated with honors from Seattle University earning a Bachlor's
Degree in English in 1997. She is currently writing volume two in
her guitar method series, teaching lessons, and performing in
Seattle.
